The New Boredom

When some zany performer breaks out into song and dance in the middle of something mundane like grocery shopping, normal people will watch, and smile, and it will totally make their day, and they will try to share it with their loved ones however possible, and it will be something they talk about for years to come.

Sour ass curmudgeons will just keep shopping for their own groceries.

I also still really like this trailer for the Lotek SF video. I like the idea of a single city being like an additional character within a bike/skate video. The urban landscapes are just about as interesting to me as any of the riding will ever be.

This showed up on The Come Up a little bit ago but I just can’t stop re-watching it. The guys are clearly good riders and are also clearly hogging all the fun. Good for them. I love videos like this. I’d take this over a video-game replay of dew tour jocks doing ludicrous tricks any day.

Yeah, that was refreshing.

Way too much interneting for me lately. And if you know me, that means a lot of interneting. Time to go get 85% of a jam-whip about 50 more times and then give up and work on something else I can do on a curb.Thank the lordy that I’m not tweeting. Though ShitMyDadSays is almost worth signing up.

I’ve got some videos I’ve been meaning to post.

First is Joe Cox from Tomorrow We Work, one of my favorite rider, favorite bike filmmakers, and favorite videos all at once.

Next up is Carl Sagan remixed that Spomer sent me the other day. Whop woop ahhh.

Then some one sent me this saying it was totally black-me.

and finally is a really swell commercial that proves I still dance like I’m 7. This is one of the few of those mastercard commercials that I think doesn’t blatantly promote prickish consumerism or does so in a relatively minor way compared to the happy imagery at the end. Most of those commercials suck. You don’t have to spend 180 bucks to have a good time with your kid at a ball game or blow 300 bucks on prom for some sham of a memory. But dancing your ass off with new kids at school is pretty damn priceless indeed.

Okay, that’s all I really had for today.

Futurama the series ended on a good note. The Devil’s hands episode I thought was a great ending to the stories. The movies ended on a pretty safe and bland note. I didn’t dig that as much.
