The New Boredom

Video Dump 3.10.10

I just watched the recent SNL on hulu with the amazing Zach Galifianakis and was pretty amazed at how largely irrelavent the entire show was. All I could think was that it needed way more Zach G. And I know I’m going to get lynched by Shewmake for this but I don’t really like the new Vampire Weekend.

Anyways, here are some videos that I liked a lot more.

This one takes an hour but it’s hilarious and pretty interesting. John Hodgman talks about authority.

I’m not sure how this ever seemed like a good idea other than the fact that it will bring joy to the heart and soul of all who watch it.

I’d love to see this technique of puppetry and animation used for something larger. Pretty cool I thought.

This song idn’t do much for me but the video was pretty cool and much more of a downer than I think most mainstream videos are willing to be. Reminds me of the Camera Obscura video for French Navy- not so much in looks but in the overall sentiments of it.

Here’s a mash up of films from the 2000’s. I pretty much hated Chicago and was made to feel pretty old that some of those were somehow 2000’s movies. I’d say I’ve seen a solid 90% of the included movies. It’s crazy to see instantly iconic images like that and kow exactly which director’s fingerprints are on them.

Some public art in Paris by JR. I’m sort of shocked at how many people are so fucking salty about it.

Oh Simpsons.
